MANGA

I don't read a lot of manga. Not because I don't like it, I just find reading very exausting due to my dyslexia.
I watch more anime than I read manga, despite preferring manga as a medium.
Please don't crucify me for not having red your favorite manga, but feel free to recomend it to me on my profile or guestbook if you think I'd enjoy it.

The first manga I ever red was "The Legend of Zelda Perfect Edition - Four Swords" when I was 8 or so.
I got it as a birthday gift because I was crazy obsessed with Zelda as a kid.
After that, I had the typical manga phase, reading Naruto, Dragon Ball and also the Pokemon and Splatoon manga.
As I got older I stopped reading manga for a while.
I was pretty much reading nothing for a few years because depression, dyslexia and adhd made it too dificult.
I got slowly back into manga around 2021,
reading the Nagabe one shots and BLAME.
But then I picked up GACHIAKUTA on the way home from a funeral in 2025 and fell in love with manga again.

If you count what dark- and purple Link had going, it was also my first yaoi

MY FAV MANGA

Keep in mind that this list will change as I read more manga

If I had to recommend one of these manga, it'd either be The Girl from the Other Side or BLAME.

The Girl from the Other Side probably has my favorite artstyle ever.
I always love nagabe's look, but this is easily my favorite work of his in terms of artstyle.
Its so genuenly beautifull and fits the medieval setting perectly.
I also really enjoy the story. While the whole lonley man adopting a child he found left alone to die isn't anything new, it's still a heart warming formiula.
And the world whith the curse and the Outsiders is really interesting and works perfectly with the time period.
The Girl from the Other Side has such a peacefull, melancholic estetic.

BLAME is so perfectly edgy. Just look at Killy. (or any character really)
The sketchy, messy artstyle, christian imagery and the massive brutalist liminal spaces.
It has such a unique world. The incomprehensively masive city and all the characters living within are something I've never seen quite like this anywhere.
